File Specifications

  • All trapping is to be done by Dynamic Print Communications. Unless prior arrangements has been made with our Prepress Department.
  • Printer fonts and Screen fonts used in the job must be embedded in PDFs
  • A minimum of 3mm bleed required on all jobs
  • Laser proofs must be supplied for every job and a dummy mocked up if it is bookwork.
  • Spot varnish to be set up in file as spot colour named VARNISH preferably PMS032.

PDF files

Please create PDF files using the following guidelines.

  • Export your PDF from your Artwork program using Press Quality settings. Preferred setting of PDF/X-4.
  • Ensure that the file has a minimum 3mm bleed and trim marks.
  • Please check that the job is centred on the page.
  • We can accept both single file PDFs or single page PDFs. It’s up to you.

Supplying Files:

Digital files can be supplied on CD, DVD, USB Keys or we can provide you with a USB Key if needed, External Hard drives (USB or Firewire), alternatively you can E-mail us files or upload to our FTP Site or if you require something more secure we can set you up an FTP account with your own user name and password.

PLEASE NOTE: Working in RGB colour is not recommended for the printing industry and supplying files in RGB format can lead to unexpected shifts in colour when converting to CMYK
